Ready to develop your human edge? Let’s start with one honest conversation.
The leaders and organizations I work with come to me because they are not looking for an advisor. They are looking for a partner who will dive deep, roll up their sleeves, do the hard work and think alongside them every step of the way.
"Technology can process data. It cannot inspire a team, develop a leader, or build a culture. That's still gloriously human and that's where we come in."Human Edge: Our Philosophy
Feedback from people I have worked with across industries.
"I partnered with Poonam and had an offer in hand within 6 weeks, after 13 months of searching on my own."
For over two decades I have partnered with some of the world's most complex global organizations to transform the way they lead, develop and grow their people. From hypergrowth to M&A integration, from startup scale to enterprise transformation, I have shaped strategy alongside CEOs, CHROs and executive leadership teams across North America, EMEA and APAC.
I built Human Edge because I believe the most powerful competitive advantage any organization holds is not technology. It is the clarity, courage and capability of its people. That belief has never wavered and it is the foundation of everything we do.

My Full StoryThe Beginning
I did not grow up with a roadmap. I grew up with something more powerful: a belief that purpose, dignity and relentless effort can take you further than any privilege ever could.
As an immigrant who built a career across continents and cultures, I learned early that nobody hands you a seat at the table. You earn it through resilience, through empathy and through the willingness to do the work that others walk past. I have sat in those leadership rooms, shaped strategy alongside CEOs and CHROs and seen firsthand what separates organizations that merely survive from those that truly thrive.
That journey shaped everything I believe about leadership. Where you start does not define where you go. And it gave me an unwavering commitment to helping others find their own edge.

The Purpose
Across every chapter of my career, one truth remained constant: organizations do not transform. People do. Strategy does not execute itself. Leaders do. And talent does not manage itself. It needs to be seen, developed and given the conditions to flourish.
I founded Human Edge to give back what this journey has taught me. To take everything I have learned in boardrooms across the globe and bring it to the leaders and organizations who are ready to unlock what they are truly capable of.
This is not consulting. This is a calling. I know what it costs to build something great from nothing. I know what it feels like to be the only person in the room who looks like you. I know the weight of leading teams through uncertainty and the quiet satisfaction of watching someone grow into a leader they never believed they could become.
Human Edge exists because I believe everyone deserves access to the kind of leadership that changed my life. And I have spent over two decades learning exactly how to deliver it.
"I help organizations strengthen their leadership, elevate performance and build future ready talent ecosystems. Not because it is what I do. Because it is who I am."

Join WaitlistIn a world racing to automate everything, the organizations that win are the ones bold enough to invest in what technology will never replace: the judgment, empathy and leadership of their people. We partner with you to make that investment count.
Two decades of leading HR at the most senior levels across four continents. I have shaped strategy alongside CEOs and CHROs, led organizations through their most defining moments and made the hard calls that only come with real stakes. When we work together, you get a partner who has been in the room and knows exactly what it takes.
From people analytics to culture transformation, from executive coaching to HR operating model design, the depth of expertise at Human Edge is rare. We bring the full spectrum of what great HR leadership looks like so you never have to stitch together multiple vendors to get a complete picture.
Technology is reshaping every industry. The organizations that will lead are not the ones who automate the most. They are the ones who combine the power of technology with the irreplaceable judgment, empathy and leadership of their people. We help you find that balance and build for it deliberately.
We measure our success by what happens after we leave. Every solution we design transfers knowledge, builds internal capability and sustains independently. We are not interested in creating dependency. We are interested in creating organizations that genuinely do not need us anymore because they have grown that much.
Turns out it was a leadership habit problem. The shift from telling mode to coaching mode changed everything.
The Core Insight
Every time an issue came up, I jumped in with solutions. It felt efficient. It felt helpful. It also trained my team not to think.
Instead of answers, ask: What would you recommend? What options have you considered? How can I support you? Slows you down in the moment. Speeds the team up over time.
Most leaders are not overwhelmed by too much work. They are overwhelmed because the urgent keeps winning over the important.
We spend months evaluating performance but often only minutes delivering it. Those minutes matter more than most leaders realize.
Most organizations are asking how to scale AI. The more important question is how to scale AI through people.
The organizations that succeed will not be the ones with the most AI tools. They will be the ones whose leaders can balance innovation with empathy, adaptability with stability and speed with intentionality.

On Coaching in General
Coaching gives you space to think with someone whose only agenda is your growth. Most leaders get plenty of feedback about performance, whether they hit a target or missed a deadline, but very little honest reflection on how they actually think, decide and lead. A good coach closes that gap, surfacing blind spots, testing assumptions you did not know you were making, and building judgment that experience alone does not always teach. Over time this shows up as faster, clearer decisions and fewer repeated mistakes, not just a better feeling in the room.
Common signs are feeling stuck in a decision, repeating the same conflict with your team, or preparing for a bigger role and wanting to walk in ready rather than learning on the fly. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit. Many of the strongest leaders bring in a coach specifically because they are already performing well and want to get sharper, close a specific gap, or stress test a big decision before making it. If you can name a recurring pattern that is not shifting on its own, that is usually the clearest sign it is time.
A coach helps you think clearly under pressure, spot patterns in your own behavior that are holding you back, and build practical plans for the specific challenge in front of you, whether that is a career transition, a difficult stakeholder relationship, or leading a team through change. Sessions typically start with what is actually happening, not a generic framework, so the plan that comes out of it fits your real situation. The value comes from structured reflection paired with direct, honest feedback, not generic advice you could get from a book.
ICF, the International Coaching Federation, is the leading global body for coach certification. Earning it requires documented training hours, supervised coaching practice, and passing a performance evaluation against a defined set of coaching competencies, not just completing a weekend course. Since the title "coach" is not legally regulated anywhere, technically anyone can use it after reading a few books. ICF certification is one of the clearest signals that a coach has actually been trained, observed and assessed against a recognized standard, rather than being self-taught or self-declared.
A mentor typically shares their own experience and advice, often because they have walked a similar path in your industry, function or company. A coach generally does not tell you what to do. Instead, a coach asks questions that help you find your own answers, drawing out judgment you already have but have not fully trusted or articulated. That approach takes a bit longer in the moment but tends to build judgment that lasts well beyond any single decision, and many people benefit from having both a mentor and a coach at different points in their career, sometimes at the same time.
Leadership coaching generally focuses on how you lead a team day to day, things like communication, delegation, feedback and decision making. Executive coaching is aimed specifically at senior leaders and often covers strategic thinking, influence across the organization, and the particular pressures that come with sitting near the top. Career coaching focuses more on the path itself, such as choosing a direction, navigating a transition, or positioning yourself for the next role. In practice these categories overlap heavily, and a single engagement often draws on all three depending on what is most useful in a given month.
On Working With Human Edge
An executive coach helps leaders build the judgment, self awareness and people skills that technology cannot replicate. As AI takes over more routine analysis, forecasting and decision support, the leaders who stand out will not be the ones who automate the most, they will be the ones who can still read a room, build trust across a divided team, and make hard, ambiguous calls under real pressure. Human Edge focuses specifically on developing those human capabilities, so leaders become more relevant, not less, as their tools get smarter around them.
Mainly senior leaders, HR executives, and organizations going through some kind of change, whether that is hypergrowth, restructuring, M&A integration, or a leadership transition into a bigger role. Individual clients range from executives preparing for their next promotion to founders navigating their first time managing a real leadership team. On the organizational side, clients are often HR teams building out leadership development, succession planning, or a broader people strategy from the ground up.
Most consultants hand you a deck full of recommendations and move on to the next client. Poonam has spent over 20 years inside HR leadership at organizations like Amazon, HSBC and Franklin Templeton, so the work is grounded in what actually happens inside a company under real constraints, not just theory from a slide. She partners with you through implementation, sitting with the messy middle of change rather than stopping once the recommendations are written down.
Poonam is an ICF certified executive coach and also holds Prosci change management and PMP project leadership certifications, along with Six Sigma training in operational excellence. Combined with over 20 years of HR leadership experience across four continents including North America, EMEA and APAC, that mix of formal coaching credentials and real operating experience inside large organizations is what shapes her approach: grounded in evidence-based coaching methodology, but tested against what actually works inside a real company. All credentials are verified on her LinkedIn profile.
It depends on what you need. A focused diagnostic can run 2 to 4 weeks, a defined project usually spans 3 to 6 months, and some clients choose an ongoing strategic partnership that continues for a year or more. We talk through your situation first and recommend the right scope, not the other way around.
Yes. Clients have included leaders and organizations based well outside the United States, and scheduling is worked out directly based on what fits both sides. Get in touch and we can work out logistics and time zones together.
